How to Win As Jester in Town Of Salem | Jester Guide | Easy Win

The always controversial Jester is one of the most deceptive and manipulative roles within Town of Salem and the perfect strategy can swing the game very easily.

As the Jester, you have one goal : Get Lynched during the day.

What You Need To Know
The Jester is of Neutral alignment, meaning they are not playing for the Town or the Mafia, but rather for themselves. This is important as your strategy can let you gain lynch votes from both sides.

After you get Lynched, you can then select someone, who voted you as guilty, during the night and kill them.

How to Get Lynched
Here are a few ways to get yourself in the public eye and make sure you get yourself hung.

1. Talk in moderation.
Talk, but not too much. Especially in the first day, do not say much and definitely don't accuse anyone straight away. This will be too obvious
The players are aware there is a Jester and are on the lookout for blabber mouths. When you do talk, talk like you are on the Town's side, which is easy if you use words like 'we' and 'us' and supporting executions of the mafia. The reason you should act like the town is to stay in the majority where everyone's roles are unknown. You cannot claim to be mafia because the mafia know you're lying and will probably kill you in the night, before the town lets you win.

Every Town knows that Mafia does not admit to being Mafia, Jester's do that.

2. Claim a critical town role, when asked
One interesting plays is to controversially admit to a town role if that role is still alive. The town will ask your role in order to catch you out. When you are caught out that the "Sheriff" says "no wait I'm the Sheriff", you will have a hard time weaseling out of it and you will look like the mafia. Mafia = getting hung by the Town which ends with you getting lynched! Win!


3. Don't Die During the Night!
A bit self explanatory, but worth noting.

You are useless if you die at night.

So how do we avoid dying at night? Getting lynched as early as you can. It is almost guaranteed that someone dies every night and for each night you survive, the more chance you will die the next night. Your best plan of attack is to start blabbing when the coast is clear, when the Town has nobody to accuse and you can be the perfect excuse for them to lynch someone.
